Candy is an up and coming artist from Papunya Tjupi meaning a New Beginning (Tjupi means honey ant), not to be confused with Papunya Tula, this artists group began in November 2007.Her father is Johnny Warangkula Tjuppurula a well known artist who was one of the first to paint traditional dreaming stories on canvas during the Papunya Tula movement. Her Dreamings include Tingari cycle. |
